What's the most effective way of loosing weight in your stomach area?

Question:
Besides sit ups, and flutter kicks. I been useing the trash bag technic, and I'm loosing weight but not so much from my stomach. Is there a way to target one specific area?

Answers:
*There is not really a way to target one specific area. Maybe try Pilates? Eat healthier, keep doing sit ups, crunches, and try leg lifts.*

Here are a few more tips if you want to use them if you don't already:

-Drink more water, 8-10 glasses of water everyday.

-Cut down on the carbs (there's good, and bad carbs. The bad cars are chips, sodas etc.), fats, and sugars you consume.

-Try to eat more fiber, protein, and have some wheat too.

-Lift weights, the more muscle you have the more calories your body burns.

-If you feel like you are hungry try to have some water, but if you want food, then try to snack in between meals only have fruit and veges, apple, carrot sticks, remember try to eat an apple and banana a day.

-I suggest taking out all fizzy drinks and juices.

-Have a good breakfast. Breakfast is so important.

-Eat lean meat.

-I started swimming every morning about 3 weeks ago before I ate breakfast, so far I have lost about 20 pounds of fat, and have gone down 2 waist sizes. I look, and feel way better because when you do a form of cardio exercise before you eat, you are burning the stored fat (stomach, and everything else), other than burning the food you just ate. Plus swimming burns fat, and tones up your muscles. 2 In 1!
nope. no such thing as target weight loss. you can tone a specific area, but not lose fat from it. cardio is the only way to really lose a lot of fat. but your body will burn the fat from wherever it wants to first, then move on sort of.
There is no way to target a specific area. However, if you do some muscule training in the abdomen area, it's much easier to loose weight when you gain muscule.
It's spelled "losing" & the best way to lose in the tummy area is to walk briskly each day, for at leat an hour, then as the weight comes off, start toning, with sit ups, etc.
The trash bag technique doesn't work, so don't waste your time with that. If you aren't doing sit ups the correct way, sometimes you can develop the muscles to bulge out. Make sure you are doing small crunches and pulling your belly button to the floor. Pilates is great for toning core muscles.

The best way to lose fat anywhere in the body is to run or do some other form of Cardio. Plus, it's really good for you! I started taking ballet classes because I thought they were fun.
You get rid of fat by creating a calorie deficit, i.e., eat less than you need for daily activities. Your body turns to fat stores to make up the difference. You don't get to pick which fat goes away first. Exercising muscles in the 'fat' region has no effect on the fat in that area.

Exercise more, eat less, or some combination of both.

As for the trash bag thing, all that does is make you sweat. Sweat is your body's way of shedding excess heat by evaporation. It has no effect on fat. Any water weight lost via sweat MUST be replaced for proper body function.
Get serious.
You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.
It's very difficult (and some say impossible) to target an area to lose weight. I believer, however, there are certain steps that can be taken to help promote weight loss in one area over the other. It sounds like you're on the right track with doing sit-ups and flutter kicks, etc--because you're firming and toning the muscles in that area which increase blood flow to that area---making it harder for fat to stick around...

One thing's for sure--whenever one starts losing/gaining weight--the difference usually first appears in the face. I'm not sure why that is---my face is usually perfectly fine--it's my stomach that I want shrunk!

The number one thing that I found the most effective for weight loss in the stomach area is eat a diet that is void of processed sugar (or as void as you can get it). I'm not talking about the Atkins Diet, where you cut out carbs all together. No, you should eat carbs--especially those found in fruits and vegies. But sugars from soda, candy and starches, like what's found in potatoes and tons of bread should be reduced as much as possible. Dairy should also be reduced or eliminated. Dairy contains lactose as you may know--and that milk sugar really likes to cling to the stomach area. It's important that you get calcium and Vitamin D that milk provides, but try to find that elsehwhere--soy or rice milk is often fortified with these things. I've seen tremendous results in people who cut out dairy (because they discover they're lactose intolerant, etc) and weight just melts away from them.

Avoiding sweets, but eating a well balanced rich in protein, fiber, and good carbs will be the way to go in addition to your excersice routine.

Oh--one more thing--you might try consciously tightening your abs while you're sitting, standing, walking, etc----contantly think about your posture. It's subtle--but you'll notice that your stomach will end up taking up a flatter appearance by doing this after a while.

Good luck!
