Yes! it is great. It is basically just common sense (eating healthy and exercising) but better. I have already lost 10 lbs in 3 months and I haven't even followed it exactly. The basic tenets are 30 minutes of walking a day at least (no excuses) at whatever pace you can handle. Also, it stresses no processed foods, just whold grains, fruits & veggies, lean protien and low fat dairy. The book is funny too. It also stresses not eating foods that have the following in the first five ingredients: sugar, salt, high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils, and enriched or refined flours. You must become an avid label reader. You will be surprised at how many things have these unhealthy processed substances in them, or have salt or sugar in very high amounts. Even things like raisins! Anyway, once you follow these guidelines and shop intelligently, you can't really go wrong. I can eat every 2 or 3 hrs and never feel hungry. It is really about reprogramming your body to eat only when hungry. I won't keep going on, just get the book.

If you are really serious about making a lifestyle change, not just a "diet", this is definitely a good book for you. Of course you don't really need the book but I find it helps. This is the first plan that I have really stuck to ever, because it is about making healthy choices that you can stick to long term. I still treat myself and skip workouts once in a while.

Search all the diets, tips, tricks, etc on the internet.
The information is endless and the more you read the more you get an idea of what is best for you.
There are many fad diets out there (with books to match) but it needs to be a lifestyle choice if you are to succeed in keeping the weight off.
So search the web.

Although the Calorie King is a VERY handy book. It is put out every year and contains the calories/kilojoules in nearly every food ...including fast food and restaurant food. Very handy.
