Basically, eat a lot, 5-6 meals a day, get lots of protein, and workout consistently.
First and foremost, you should be doing this for YOURSELF. If this is what you want, then go for it.only if it's going to make you happy. Your girl should love you as you are and accept you for who you are.
But, if YOU are still interested in gaining muscle, you should start lifting weights to build your muscles. It also helps if you eat right, increase your protein, and possible add some muscle building shakes.
First of all, diet. Exercise is important but diet ALWAYS comes first. You need to eat until you feel like puking, and then eat some more.
