Doing crunches.?
Question:
Answers:
it depends on your body... doing crunches isnt gonna make youlose wieght, its gonna biuld muscle mass and everyone knows muscle is heavier than fat. doing the crunches istn a bad idea though because yuoll become toned and strong in your midsection its just, i dont think you should do that many a day, ussually 50 per day is good.
doing crunches really does work if you do them right.
you dotn want to make your back do all the work, it doestn do any good and causes stress to your spine and you know your doing it right when you feel the burn in your tummy area. also dont just to regular crunches. mix it up a little. there are lower ab crunches which you have to lift your legs up from the ground, using your abs, side crunches, and the really hard one where you flatten belly down like your gunna do a pushup, but putting your hands on the floor so both palms and elbows are touching ground underneith and lifting yourself up straight keeping your legs straight and flat, and your toys the only other things touchign the ground for about a minute or thirty seconds
depend on your diet and daily sleep
50 every half hour i do 100 in a day i think youll lose at least 3 pounds
It depends on how you eat and drink, that is a big part of the losing weight
like 10pounds
i really don't know cause i heard that that crunches don't work that well. so maybe a few pounds.
LOL ur silly
ummmmm NONE !
losing fat is takes diet and excersise... not just a whole bunch of crunches
zero.
crunches dont work..
you have to do some form of cardio work in order to loose healthy weight.
try a bicycle.. works the best
maybe 1 pound... why waste your time? The abdominals are a small muscle group. Your better off jogging or better yet, simply change your diet, you'll easy lose 20lbs.
If you're trying to lose weight, try lifting for a half hour and then doing cardio (running/eliptical/bike) for a half hour directly afterwards. That's most effective. The more muscle you build up (easier in legs and chest)...the faster your metabolism will work. Eat under 3000 calories per day (the hard part)...and you're good to go.
I think you would actually gain weight because muscle weighs more than fat. You should run, jog, walk, those types of aerobic exercises.
none. sorry but crunchies don't work. in order to loose wieght you need to burn calories and crunchies are not good calorie burners(even thogh they hurt alot!) diet and excersize by walking, running, ect. you'll loose weight if you burn more calories than you eat. get a fitness ball and do crunchies on that. it may not result in weight loss but it will give you great abbs faster that doing crunchies.
You can lose 10 pounds a month if you do 120-250 crunches 4 times-7 times a week and walk one mile to 2 miles a day. eat a Good balance diet. Drink plenty of water. You can lose some weight. if you do it healthy.
it depends alot on your diet. but 50 crunches every half and hour all day is quite impossible u wont have enough motivation to do it. i suggest working out 8 ours after u get out of bed thats when your metabolism is at its peak. do 20 crunches and stop for a few secs and do another 20 and keep reapeating for 10 times. then do side crunches for same amount. but crunches and sit ups arent ideal for losing weight. try jogging or cycling instead it burns more calories
Haahahahaha. That's hilarious!
C'mon, man. Be logical. This is not a sensible workout regiment. Crunches are not very good exercises for starters. There are much better exercises to work your abs. Crunches can put too much strain on your back and they don't focus on each abdominal muscle. Plus your body isn't working against much resistance, so your abs aren't working as hard as they could be.
Aside from that, how are you going to pull off 50 every half hour for a month? You plan on sleeping?
Okay...say you do 50 every few hours everday...do this 5 times in a day. That's 250. You'll work off some calories, but I don't think you'll see the results you're looking for. How much do you weigh anyways?
If you're looking to lose weight and for easy ways to do so, I advise to stick with your crunches goal, but only if you don't have a better alternative. However, you have to keep expanding...do 25 pushups with every 50 crunches.stretch all parts of your body before doing these.do some ankle raises and breathing exercises. There's a lot you can do without a weight room if that's where you're going. Commitment is the key term.
But to finally answer your question...I think if you were to honestly do that...and I'm only giving you 8 sets a day...so 300 crunches...I think you could lose maybe 5-10 lbs, MAYBE. But it depends on your current size, your eating habits, and what other physical activity you're engaging in.
Crunches do NOT burn a lot of calories, and therefore will cause only a little weight loss. You will develope a six-pack stomach made of iron! But, crunches are a muscle toning exercise, if you want to loose weight, you've got to do an exercise that gets the heart rate up in the fat burning or cardio zone (which is different for everyone depending on age and how good of shape you are in). And of course, your diet.. Also, the number of crunches you stated is WAAAY too many, even for a body builder, and you'd probably get hurt. Do a couple of sets a day, and increase this number as your stomach gets stronger.
