Does Tea with Milk prevent our bodies from absorbing Iron?

Question:
My friend said no It doesn't

Answers:
Caffeine prevents the body from absorbing iron, to a certain extent. Tea doesn't contain caffeine, but a similar substance called teeine, which has the same effect. But unless consumed in vast quantities, and unless you have a problem with iron absorbtion, it shouldn't bother your iron levels too much.
Ps, it is the caffeine like substance in chocolate that means that although there is more iron in a chocolate bar than there is in a head of broccoli, you will not absorb any of it so you may as well just eat the broccoli.
