Does weight-training make you gain or lose pounds??
Question:
Answers:
It may make you gain a few at first, due to you developing muscle before you lose fat [muscle weighs more than fat]
Than you will lose weight though.
It makes you gain, because muscle is heavier than fat.
What most women don't understand is *how* the body builds muscle. For a woman to bulk up like a body builder, it takes months of special targeted exercises and strict dieting. You will not bulk up and look like a man when you weight train a few times a week.
I'd also recommend cutting your weight training time in half (unless this is a regular thing for you).
cheers :)
You may actually put on a few pounds because muscle weighs more than fat, but you will lose inches, tone up, look defined, and feel great.
you could possibly gain weight when you start, this is do to the fact that muscle weights more then fat. Weight training is a great choice of exercise. Because you are gaining muscle remember you will be burning more chlorides even at rest.
Don't judge your progress by a scale. Judge it in how your cloths fit.
good luck
