Treadmill advice?
Question:
Answers:
I would add you should do functional movements to really hold muscle and increase fat burn (squats, lunges, pushups etc.)
You can regress and just use body weight.pushups can be done on an elevated surface. A treadmill should be an addition to the workout.not the workout.
I go to the gym and see people on them all the time and i've ran on it and they make sense, but they are also dangerous. When we trip on a treadmill the ground is going to throw you. It is much safer tripping outside and if its raining and the ground is soft, it wont hurt as much statistically.
I would recomend you wear a silk shirt with a light organic material over it and a good hoody for the rain and do it outside where the air is ten times cleaner then in the home.
Always warm up your joints before you start and stretch good when your done so you dont have muscle cramps and don't over do it go slow, enjoy it keep your chest out and remember eliptical motion, heal to toe. Get an experienced runner to watch you and give you tips to make it easier and safer on your knees . In any case good luck and best wishes :)
i have a newbalance 1400 and its a great treadmill, looks nice and is relatively low in price. keeping a treadmill upstairs might not be a good idea because it is VERY heavy. when i bought mine me and another guy barely got it inside together. so if you keep it upstairs and especially if you walk on it, it might damage your floor.
