What are good ways to supress your appetite??
Question:
Answers:
Drink water.
Eat six times a day (Breakfast, Mid-morning snack, Lunch, Mid-afternoon snack, Dinner, Bedtime snack).
The snacks should consist of fruits and vegetables. The Bedtime snack should consist of a low-carb snack with at least 5g of dietary fiber (a small bowl of bran flakes) so that you can sleep better.
Healthy snacking between meals prevents overeating.
10 minutes before a meal, drink a glass of water, it causes you to feel fuller so you dont end up eating as much
throughout the day by the crystal light powder stuff and put it in your water bottle to give your water more flavor..
whenever you seriously want to eat something either get on the scale and ask yourself if you really NEED it, and if you do eat something healthy..no junk food
eating junk food causes you to want to eat more and more of it since it stimulates your cravings

Think about something else. Keep your mind and hands occupied. Work outside, build something, anything that forces your mind to be very busy doing anything that doesn't have to do with food.
eat lots of fiber-containg and water/juice containing foods!
during the summer, i love to watermelons, because i can eat until i'm stuffed and still only ate about 100 (or less!) calories worth. I also love to eat lots of fruit.
But if you'd like to suppress your appetite without actually eating something (which might trigger to overeating or a binge), just try to keep yourself occupied. I noticed that if i'm just lazying around at home, i tend to eat a bit more than on days that i am out and about. that is why, even at home, i've taken up to a lot of leisurely reading, internet browsing, tv-watching, and elliptical machine exericising (while watching tv), but WITHOUT mindless eating. keep your mind off of food.
There have also been a lot of times when i get confused if I am actually hungry or if I'm just so in the habit of snacking that my mind convinces me that i'm hungry when my body isn't actually needing it. in those cases (when i'm confused), i wait it out for about 10 min, then realize that it wasn't hunger at all, but just my habit that was calling for my attention. i usually eat when i'm REALLY sure that i'm hungry.
hope this helps! =)
