Losing weight, what do you think?

I checked my BMI online and it said I have a BMI of 22 and that's healthy. But I still seem to have more fat on my thighs than I'd like to have...

build muscle. it'll take your extra fat.(fat that didn't get burn)

drink lots of water, eat nuts and raisins to increase metabolism
workout.
eat healthy.
eat slowly, because it takes awhile for food to digest, so
it takes awhile to be full after eating.
eating slowly will allow you to know when you're full to eat less.
don't sit in front of the tv while eating.
pretty much pay attention only to your food when you eat
also allow your body to tell you when you're hungry, when it growls, eat.
do aerobic exercises
do 2 30min exercises then have a 20 min break you'll lose more wight than not taking breaks at all
play music that you enjoy, or music that makes you feel like dancing to you'll exercise more/longer
you can run in one place for 15 min per day or more.
or run up and downstairs. or jog/run/walk around your block.
then slowly increase the time, by 5 min per day.
and if you're gonna do sit-ups, cutches, pull=ups, etc. add 10 per day
starving will get you skinnier but at the end of it when you eat normally again your body will be saving it,
and you'll gain weight faster
like bears saving their food for the winter.

chances are that if you lose that amount of wait in such a short amount of time you will gain it all back, plus more than you started off with.
you should aim to lose 2-3 pounds a week, max. that way you can maintain your good weight.
the best way to lose it is to eat smaller portions of everything, and count up all your calories in a notebook everyday. make sure you don't go over the limit ( you can find that out from this link:

also, eat only whole wheat and whole grain foods whenever possible, fruits and vegetables instead of chips and cookies, and use olive oil instead of regular oils.
also plan a daily excercise - a daily walk or bicycling for 20 minutes of more a day

To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.
As far as a "healthy weight", that's what most of the other posts are about (calculating your BMI, diet plans, etc). but most people will say what the "average" is according to different opinions.
As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that
That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more
Loosing weight is good, but don't loose too much cuz boys or men like girls or women with big booty.
I've been there! Don't worry about it, your teenage years are crazy with this sort of stuff.
Here's what I did to stay in shape:
Eat right. Yes, this sounds totally lame, but really, it makes your feel so much better. For breakfast, make natural smoothies, fruit salads, granola, and yogurt your morning regime. They taste so good, and help so much with my mood!
For lunch, try a light salas loaded with veggies and good dressing. The dressing doesn't have to be low fat cause those are nasty, just add lots of veggies you like. Eliminate snacks between lunch and dinner that are crunchy or sugary. Just chew gum, and if you are really hungry, grab an apple. Eat whatever you want for dinner, and stay light on the dessert!
In the exercise department, go swimming. You can have fun with friends or by yourself, and burn tons of calories. Another great way to exercise is going on a trampoline. Jump for an hour, and you'll burn 800 calories! Other than that, you can exercise by running, walking, biking, etc, but those are more boring.
If you attempt these things, you will see results in weeks, and feel so much better!
