How good is riding a bike to lose weight?

i ride 5 miles a day at least 3 times a week and i dont see much results
any suggestions or tips on what i could do
i want to lose a lot of weight

You need to keep your body versatile and keep it guessing. Try a mixture of walking, jogging, running at intervals along with bike riding. Do something different every day to break up the monatony. Also lifting weights will also help.
jogging helps alot. dancing will too. plus pooping helps detoxify the body and help to lose weight. sweating helps lose weight too, so when you're perspiring around in your house, just let yourself sweat it out.
