Answers:
In all honesty, it does work. Not from personal experience, but hearing from a friend.

A word of caution, my friend. Alli has something called "treatment effects". Basically, side effects. Alli works by blocking the absorption of fat from the body. So if it doesn't get absorbed, where does it go? The Alli website cautions to wear dark pants, in case of "oily leakage". This is not a problem if one stays under 15g of fat per day. There is a 50% of a "treatment effect".

It is also on the expensive side.

As long as you are willing to change your lifestyle and a bit of excersize, it will work well for you!

Good luck!

That's "lose" weight...loose is what you want your pants to be.

If you want to go lowfat, why not just cut the bad fat out of your diet and not spend money on a pill that makes you sick when you "oops"?

I'm against weightloss crutches like pills...all they do is make the pharmaceutical company rich and if the people taking them don't learn to make a lifestyle change, they won't have long term results anyway.

Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet every day (from now on) and exercise at least 1 hour a day at least 5 days a week...that's how to lose weight and keep it off. No gimmicky diets or pills required or recommended.

Do it right and do it once. Good luck!
i wouldnt use alli because ur jus gona waste ur money to lose weight all u need to do is exercise and eat right.. good luck

I think that the below website will help you to find the right solution.

a friend of mine tried alli, and has been successful in losing weight, but he is also in the army and does PT every morning, but he says the pill made it easier for him to make healthier choices about what he eats because of as someone already said, the "treatment effects". your stool will be especially oily and soft, and if you pass gas, most times there will be what alli calls "oil leakages". the principle behind alli is bascially learning to eat better meals with less fat to avoid the nasty side effects, but that only works as long as you continue on the pill, because once you stop taking it and those pesky "treatment effects" subside, it will be easy to fall back into a diet of eating more fat. aside from that its a bit expensive, around $50 for a one month supply. but good luck to you, only you can know what will work for you and your body!
a friend of mine used it when it was the prescription Xenical. Yes she lost weight but gradually gained it back later. But she went back to her old habits of eating and not exercising. It can have to "yucky" side effects but she- like many people have will power at times and not so much when the pizza was being passed around in front of her face. But after she took the pill, she KNEW she couldn't eat it or she would be pooping grease for the rest of the afternoon! It really helped her not give in to the temptation when it was in front of her face! I am tempted to try it, too.
Oh-a tip I got from a friend-wear a pad every day!!
best of luck!
