Which of the following would NOT be considered a "high-quality" source of protein?
Question:
b. Milk
c. Egg
d. Soy
e. All of the above are considered "high-quality" protein
Please advise which is the correct answer and state your reason too.
Thanks in advance :)
Answers:
Soy, because the protiens, although considered "complete" (unlike most legumes), are difficult for humans to digest.
The case could also be made for milk, which although has good protien in it, it's mostly water.
to all the people above: the question is not about fat, it's about protien. What makes a protien "high quality" is not the fat content, but rather the makeup of the protien, the amino acids it contains, and how easy it is to digest.
to the question asker: It really depends on the political bias of teh person who created the question, believe it or not. you could reason that any of those are not the best choice for protien. Like the morons above me, the person who created the question could believe that all fat is bad and could be judging the quality of protien by its fat content. Ruling out meat, and possibly eggs and milk.
They could be a vegan sympathizer, believing animal protiens are not ment for human consumption.
In all likelyness the answer is E though, because by and large people have been brainwashed by the soy lobby are are completely unaware of the health risks.
The answer is
meat, soy products. Really the answer could be E. but I would stay away from too many eggs or milk unless you drink 2%. I prefer drinking soy milk because it tastes good.
Meat is high in protein but also high in fat. So, if you are dieting, don't eat a lot of red meat.
Best of health to you.
I would only consider soy and eggs to be "high-quality" because of the lower fat content.
If I had to pick one it would be the meat depending on what kind. Chicken and fish wouldn't be so bad because the fat content would be low. High fat meats will slow you down and clog your arteries.
