Does purging actually help you lose weight?
Question:
Answers:
Purging consistently would make a person lose weight, but not in a healthy way. Purging is a sign of bulemia an eating disorder that can kill a person.
Purging actually does internal damage to the digestive organs and more so to the throat lining. It isn't medically safe to do that and it is best to excercise, watch the calorie intake and avoid snacking on junk food as you need to be working with your body not against it for any weight management on this. IF you want my proof about purging and how damaging it is to your health, just do a google search and see. Be good to the body you have as it's the only one you have. It can give you future health problems if you misuse or abuse it earlier.
OK.yes purging does make you loose weight since your body doesn't have time to absorb any of the food. BUT, purging also makes your heart weaker, your throat weaker, your teeth rot and a number of other things. Young women have had heart attacks and died from purging. To me, it just makes more since to eat healthy foods...and cheaper!
I eat a lot of crawfish, crab and shrimp. It is very low in fat and it tastes great over a salad! (If you live in the south..these are available all year round)
You can go to www.kraftfoods.com and find tons of low fat recipes. Plus I think its fun feeding my husband stuff that he would not normally eat and then tell him that it was low fat.
Good luck!!
No it doesn't, losing weight is much more enjoyable by just exercising for 30-45 minutes a day followed by healthy foods.
Forget about calories, just eat healthy.
