Im 16 years old 5'4 and weigh 124lbs.how much should i be bench pressing??!!?


Question:
right now i can benc press 140 once or twice and on a good day 145 once..
am i lifting enough and what is the average i should be lifting?!!

any help on this

Im 18 about 5'5 benching 6 reps of 140 when im on a workout plan about 145 once or twice though on good days. Compare yourself to me. Just know if you want to lift more get bigger, push it to the limit and set goals.
whatever you can lift man there is no set goal at age or size.people start at diff. ages so you cant base it on age and size.
It depends on how long you have been weight training. I think that you are doing great, you are lifting well over your body weight.
you need to go to your local GNC and buy some weight gainer protein supplement, my boyfriend was about the exact same as you except taller and weighed alittle more, and he was benching 250 after his first 6 months of working out. You should should be bench pressing 2 to 3 times per week. make sure u read the directions on the weight gainer though
You wussy! You should be on steroids and bench pressing 3 tons.
Dude if you can bench greater than your own weight more than once you're doing fine! Aim for ..yes.. your own weight 3-4 times per set 1-2 sets per day...$hit you'll rock!
Sick with pushups for now. Atleast 3 sets of 50, before you think of the bench, if taht's not enough, try putting your legs higher up, try having a partner put a 25 pound plate on your back. You don't need bench if you can't handle this.
you shouldnt be benching a weight you can only do a couple times, you should focus in on a weight that you can do sets with ex take 105 and bench a set of 15, than add on 10lbs making it 115 and do a set of 10-12, than add on 10 more lbs (125) and do a set of 8-12 i dont know how comfortable you are doing weights like that but you should do sets in that form. and when you work out make about a 45min -1hr routine, more if you are working with one other person, and a routine where you concentrate on specific parts of your body ex chest one day triceps and biceps another legs the next back and shoulders the next and start over with the same focus but vary the routine slightly
