Question for Carb Addicts.?

It depends on you. I find Atkins easier to stick to because I'm not "flirting" with higher-carb foods so I don't get the cravings going. Other people may find SB easier because they can indulge themselves a bit. You need to find what works for you.
I wouldn't bother paying for memberships for either, but especially not for Atkins since the company now has nothing to do with Dr. Atkins or his family and has varied wildly from Dr. A's original intentions. Can't comment on the SB site, but you can get all the info you need from the books.
There are some great low-carb support forums that are completely free. My favorite is http://forums.lowcarber.org/
There is also http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/index.
I tried the Adkins and lost weight and it stopped my sweet cravings within the first week. However, regardless of what they tell you my Cholestrol went up and I regained the weight and then some after that. I have the south beach diet book but I have not tried it but I think it would be better for your overall health as it reduces some of the fats and better for your heart.
tried both, very similar. didn't enroll on website, you can find either one in paperback or in a used book store somewhere. Southbeach has more recipes & lets you eat more fruit- atkins bans fruit (including juice) 1st 2 weeks which is tough. i'd start w/atkins cause southbeach is just a version of those basic no carb rules- then look to southbeach for recipes. also try "dreamfields" pasta which is the only carb friendly pasta i've found & helps break up the egg/cheese atkin routine. good luck.
All diets work, it just depends on you dedications. I personally think the South Beach diet is easier just because you get more food variety. Sure, pay for a month or so, soak up all the information and get what you need to get going, then do it on your own. Nothing is free.
