I'm 14, I weigh 165 lbs and I'm 4'11". I really want to loss weight as soon as possible. I don't want to sign up for any class, I want to do this at home. Can you help me with food and exercises I can do? I don't have a lot of time on my hands. During the school year, I do dance at least 5 days a week for at least an hour and a half a day. I do go camping a lot during the summer too. Please Help!! I want to loss at least 20 lbs when I go back to school from winter break!!!! Please help me!!

If you eat meat, eat only lean meats with little oils. Cut back on sweets, and eat only fruit when you have any sweet cravings.

Enroll in a dance course, or get together with others your age who like to dance. Music is a great motivator, and you will burn up calories without it feeling like work.

The first thing to keep in mind is that you didn't gain that much excess weight overnight, so you are not going to be able to take it off overnight either. It sounds like you're already getting some good exercise with the dancing. Try adding more time onto your dance practice, even at home. The main thing is that you must cut back on how much you are eating. Don't try to get on any sort of crash diet, they are unhealthy in the long run. Stick with fresh foods: vegetables, fruit, meat, etc. Cut back on starchy foods like rice, potatoes, breads, pasta and cut out sweets altogether. Eat three meals a day and drink at least 8 glasses of water and you will lose weight.

the only thing i can say is that you need to burn more calories than you take in... there's no magic to weight loss, you can eat whatever you want provided you work it off... go out and run in the mornings or at nights... and for snacks, look at stuff like fruits and yogurt, it always helps to eat healthy even if you're staying active... aslo, DRINK LOTS OF WATER... it flushes all the waste out of your system and helps out in more ways than i know about

You need to reduce your caloric intake. Which basically means that you have to eat less food. Although you'll have to be careful with that, if you plan on incorporating an exercise routine into your weight loss plan. Don't starve yourself. You should also eat smaller meals more frequently. This will naturally speed up your metabolism and help you burn more calories when your body is at rest (not exercising). So instead of eating three large meals, try eating 5 or 6 smaller meals spread evenly throughout your day. As far as exercising goes, to burn fat and calories, you'll want to find an activity that raises your heart rate and keeps it raised. Walking or running is good.
To really lose your weight for good. Eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and exercise. They will increase your metabolism rate and burn fats.

I've found the easiest way to stick to a diet is to have lots of salads, lots of fruits, drink lots of liquids (no sodas, just juices and water and green tea).

I bowl duckpins three nights a week for exercise, and I live in a two-story house, so I'm up and down the stairs at least 20 times a day. I should walk, but I don't. I figure housework is walking.

My secret to avoid feeling deprived? I splurge one day a week and allow myself ice cream or cookies or a couple pieces of chocolate. You MUST be religious about not cheating the other six days, and don't overdo it on the seventh.
