Workout...fast reps vs. slow reps?
Question:
which would u do if ur in ur bulking stage and wanna gain muscular size?
Answers:
That's a common mistake with a lot of people, fast reps and poor form. If your going a rep quickly your not really emphasizing the stress on your muscles. Each rep no matter what the exercise should really take at least 4-5 seconds to complete one rep. Your muscles don't recognize weight they recognize how much stress they've been subjected to, you want to do your reps slowly to emphasize this. Honestly really fast reps equate to more of a cardio workout than pure bulking.
so what u wanna do is less reps and more weight, fast reps dont help for nothin, do them slowly ull feel the burn jus try it
Honestly, if you are asking this question you are still pretty new to this.
My advise to you is don't worry about it unless you are going pro. Any exercises you do, in any style, is going to benefit you in comparison to not working out at all. I have done them all, and I find the trick is to cycle throough both. Do it slow and see what advantages you get, and try doing fast and see what you get. Do each 6 months off and 6 months on and you will get the best of both worlds.
When I am in the bulking stage I concentrate more on the amount of food I eat than whether I should do my exercies fast or slow. I find that if I eat enough I am stronger and thus can do heavier weights (duh) and yes, when you do heavier weights one obviously can't do them that fast thus have to do it slower :)
Slower reps are the way to go. Your muscles are working extra hard and feeling every inch of pulling in the muscle. As for bulking up Take some creatin and whey protein have at least 12 eggs in the morning 1/2 a grapefruit and have alot of lean protein in your diet if not visit bodybuilding.com for more information. You'll find your answer there.
i may be gettign this mixed up but
fast reps= better endurance
slow reps=stronger muscles
but they may be mixed up
