Will I be eating too few calories if I try to lose two pounds a week?
Question:
This is the way I figure it - 2227 - 1640 means I'm burning 570 calories a day before exercise. If I add that in at 250 calories a day (1750/7) then that means I'm burning a total of 820 calories a day extra, which is the weekly equivalent of 1.64lbs.
(820*7)/3500 = 1.64lbs
To lose two pounds a week I would have to burn another 180 calories a day. I simply don't have the time to do any more exercise. Would it be bad to take this out of the calories I eat leaving them at 1460 per day, or is this too low?
Answers:
Nope - this would be ideal and healthy. Tow pounds per week is perfectt and that's enough calories to keep you going.
Stick to one pound a week instead. Why make it that tough on yourself?
You can decrease your caloric intake by another 180 cal's. It won't do you any harm, and 2 pounds a week is safe.
its fine..if u force yourself to lose , u will not achieve...just be consistent
1 or 2 pounds is good.
It is a headache to count calories, measure carbs, fats and sugar for every meal.
Just eat only complex carbs, lean meat, and lots of veggies. It will make your meals low caloried and yet filling and healthy.
I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
Details such as my experience, meals, recipes, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog.
