Does walking up eleven flights of stairs every weekend do something for you?


Question:
I work Security I patrol a Garage once a night lately i have been walking up the stairs when i do my round and i was wondering if it really makes a diffrence health wise. I walk up a flight then patrol the level then walk up another flight is my routine its not constant. I also patrol a 28 story building but wouldnt wanna push my luck walking 28 up. Can you tell me what a good amount is to help me lose weight or is 11 enough.
Also can you tell me how much calories i burn.

It certainly should do something. I wish I had the stamina to do this!

Walking up stairs is great. If you could walk more than once a week that would be great. A nurse friend of mine said to walk up the stairs but to take elevator down to sane your knees.
Yep, it's great for your lungs, legs and back. Don't worry about calories, just include it in the baseline before you start a diet and exerscise program.
