I am not really in shape but I am not fat ethier I have been a little up and down with my weight, but I have found that the fastest way for me to losse weight is by changing my diet is not about eating more or less but about eating differently. Change your food I eat a lot of fruits and vetables and when I don't have any I by a juice sold in seven eleven and other stores called Naked Juice and it is full of proteins fibber and water and it helps clean your kidnes. I like the white one it has pineapple, coconut, banana, and orange and its good for you.

You must burn more calories than you take in.
Exercise and eat right. I said eat right, not less.
Just eat only complex carbs, lean meat, and lots of veggies. It will make your meals low caloried and yet filling and healthy.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
