I heard that oatmeal can help to lose weight? is this true?

If so does it matter which kind..? can it be any kind, any flavor?

Answers:
well because it's relatively low in calories (1 serving of 1/2cup is only 150calories) and has 5 grams of fiber and 5grams of protein with only 3 grams of fat it keeps you fuller longer because of the fiber in it..so it help you loose weight in the sence that you are cutting back on calories..

and try not getting "flavored" oatmeal..get plain it's so good that way! :) and you can have fun with plain oatmeal like adding fresh fruit in it, raisins, dried fruits, nuts, make it with soymilk or water...add anything that is healthy :]]
