If a person practically starves themselves for 1 week, how much weight could they lose.?
Question:
At what point would they need medical attention?
Answers:
within a few days... or whenever you faint from exhaustion.
and it doesnt matter how much weight you will lose. as soon as you start eating again.. youll just gain it all back.
umm what your talking about is anorexia. this isnt healthy. dont try it; if you really want to lose weight you HAVE to eat and then exercise.
Why would you do that? You'll just f up your metabolism and gain the weight back as soon as you stop starving. Odds are, your body will think you are starving and go into super conservation mode (yes, it does that). Do normal diet and exercise (especially exercise).
Quite a bit actually .

I lost 50 lbs in three weeks doing the water fast.
It depends on how much they weigh at the beginning. The heavier they are, the more calories you'd burn and the more weight they'd lose.
If their BMR is 3,000 calories per day, and they ate only 500 calories, this is a deficit of 2,500 calories. 2,500 calories * 7 days=17,500 calories. One pound=3,500 calories, so in a week's time they'd lose about 5 pounds (17,500/3,500).
