Does more (cardio) exercise necessarily mean more endorphins?
Question:
Answers:
I believe so. 2-3 hours is small beans compare what olympic trainers and pro athletes have to go through. They work out 8 hours or more each day!
I do eliptical running for 45 mins and then weights and then biking for another 20 mins. I feel I could do more but I think thats good enough since im not training for anything but just trying to be fit.
I think even a 30 min work out will trigger good amounts of endorphins to make you feel good for the day.
If your running then yes, that is too long. If your running, you should at MOST run for an hour. Because if you run more than that then your running with your heart and thats not good.
Yeah, 2-3 hours of cardio is too much. You deplete your body of electrolytes, potassium and nutrients unecessarily. Even athletes need to be careful, this can be dangerous if you're not under a doctors care. If you're just trying to lose weight, cutting calories and doing one hour a day of cardio is plenty. Even just 30 min a day is good. But you're defeating the purpose of exercise to be healthy when you overdo it, then you're only giving yourself health problems and possible heart failure.
Endorphines are released in the brain after about 30 min of continuous exercise.
When I do cardio though...I don't really feel tired after 2 hours on the elliptical machine.
