Can wisdom teeth regrow on their own?

Question:

I am 32 years old. I am 8 1/2 months pregnant with twins. I had ALL 4 widom teeth extracted at least 15 years ago. I have on the bottom right, where there has been nothing, a bud growing out of my gums. Yes, I have a tooth growing where their used to be a wisdom tooth. What the heck is going on? What else can it be? It wasn't there a few days ago, and now I have a tooth growing!! It doesn't hurt. Everyone that looks at it is amazed. Please provide some details or answers.

but it can be an extra tooth..in medical terms its called a supernumerary tooth
if its not bothering u then u can leave it as such provided it doesn't interfere wid other teeth in the arch

Maybe, but teeth don't grow like plants. People are born with the DNA plan of how many teeth they are going to have. Even though it has a root like a hair the same root cannot regrow teeth like hair follicles does. Besides the dentist pulls the root along with the tooth. Most people developer two sets of teeth. Your adult teeth grow in the gum and push out and down, pushing out the baby teeth around 7 to 10 years old. In my family it's common to have a third set as I do in some places. It could be a back molar coming in or a calcium deposit. Calcium in a pregnant body acts weird. Has a dentist looked at it and taken x-rays? I, myself, have never had a tooth come in that didn't at least feel sore. It is possible to have a second set of wisdom teeth, but rare. Do you know any stories of something similar in your family.

Several possibilities: the surgeon may have broken off a root, which can continue to erupt and eventual break through the gum tissue; you may have a supernumerary or extra tooth: while uncommon some individuals can have 4th molars (wisdom teeth are 3rd molars). We recently removed an extra pair of lower canines in a young patient. Have your dentist evaluate the area and have a panoramic xray taken to check for other 4th molars. And keep it clean in the meantime.
