After comparing xrays my dentist discovered that I have a place where the tooth is moving?

Question:
Just over a year she put a new crown on a tooth where i had had a root canal. Upper left sidesecond tooth from the back. I am in the process of what is called (I think) a dental lifting. Root canals and higher crowns on rear lower teeth to help correct damage from bruxia. Shortly after that new crown I started to notice food would get trapped betweeen the last toot and this new crown. The space is increasing leaving me with gum sensitivity, bleeding after flossing. She doesnt know why this is happening. She herself has undergone this lifting treatment and one of her upper teeth is now doing the same thing? Is this a side effect of the treatment? She made my crown and her daughter made her crown. Both are perplexed by this. any ideas? In the past I had a badly misshapen crown placed and food packed in the space. He admitted the shape was wrong a replaced it. But these 2 women are saying nothing is wrong with either of our crowns. any ideas?

A: Maybe they don't know what to look for. Maybe they are not qualifed to be altering your occlusal-vertical dimension.

any time you have two objects moving against each other one or both is having enough pressure put on it to make it move....they do it in orthodontics all the time. I was in the dental field for over 20 yrs. and had not heard of this dental lifting bot help correct damage from bruxia...I was under the impression they used mouth guards and such or ortho for this condition. Common sense tells me that a common side effect of this 'dental lifting' would be that teeth would most certainly move...is this a relatively new procedure? I don't mean to question your dentist but if I were you I would see another for a second opinion....something just doesn't sound right here. Good luck
