How can you remove white patches on your teeth?

Question:
I'm pretty sure its called decalcification, It on my front teeth which looks horrible. At the moment i have braces so you cant really see it atm but im thinking ahead. Also how can I prevent it?

Answers:
If it showed up after you had your braces for a while, it is almost definitely decalcification. This is actually the early stage of cavity formation, so brush BETTER than you have been and be MORE CAREFUL about your sugar intake. When you get your braces off, you will probably just need a small filling to get rid of the cavity and solve the white spot problem at the same time.

If it was there BEFORE you had your braces, it may be hypocalcification. There are many reasons for this occurring, but your tooth didn't develop correctly in the white spots. Sometimes they are very superficial and can simply be polished off. If they don't polish off, then you have just completed the first step towards getting some bonding material put over them to mask them out. That's easy to do and relatively cheap. If they are just little spots, like a millimeter or so, it would be in the $100 ballpark.
Drink coffee, red wine and smoke, that will darken the teeth.
