what can make you throw up after having wisdom teeth pulled?
Question:
Answers:
It's the medications. Vicoden makes me puke like crazy! It's awful. Ask for something like Darvocet or take 600 mg of advil. Ice packs and keep yourself elevated too.
Other Answers:
pain, infection, morphine and vicodin can all make you chuck...good luck to you.
Swelling of the gums can touch the back of the tongue which could elicit a gag reflex.
U probably took pain meds on empty stomach.
The anesthesia can definitely play a huge part in causing you to vomit. I've heard people getting sick from morphine. If you took the vicoden without food, that could cause vomitting I believe.
Probably the Vicoden... or the morphine
The pain meds plus the stress on your body of the surgery... combined with blood loss....
All of those trigger a violent reaction by your body, to try to get rid of all that blood you swallowed.
You can become nauseous or vomit from blood draining into your stomach, your pain medications, or the anesthesia they used. Call the oral surgeon and ask them to prescribe phenergan.
The morphine probably upset your stomach and made you vomit. Heroin does the same thing the first time you take it. As you should know morphine and heroin are from the same drug category.
a bad reaction to the anesthesia used..... be sure to stay away from frostees!! it made me realllly sick!
Swallowing blood can make you vomit or it could be an intolerance to the pain medication give to you. Anything with codeine in it makes me sick.
it could be the vicoden make sure you eat something before taking it...also when i had one pulled the dentist said i swallowed a good bit of blood so that could upset your stomach as well
