Getting pregnant while wearing braces?

Question: I heard that if you get pregnant while you are wearing braces it will mess up your teeth and you will have to wear them for a couple of extra years. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

Answers:
No, its just during pregnancy with all the hormone changes it can affect your gum tissue, if you start inflammation you will just have to floss, brush and see the dentist more often (maybe). Just continue will your daily brushing, flossing and what not,it may not affect you because everyone is different- keep the braces spotless and everything should be okay.
