If you use mouthwash straight out of the bottle(instead of pouring it in a cup to take a sip) is that ok?

Question:
without spitting it back in the bottle, will the mouthwash become polluted or what?

Answers:
Mouthwash usually has a high alchohal content, so most of the germs should die, but the rim where your lips touch gets germs on it too. i woudl only share a bottle of mouthwash that I was touching my mouth ON with my husband or my mom or someone close like that. If it is for public use, (like at a dentla office) then everyone should be using a cup.

Other Answers:
no the mouthwash won't become polluted its stays mouthwash and will still work!! <3
I suppose so, if you're the only one using the bottle. Otherwise, I'd be more considerate and get a cup.
My hubby and I use the same bottle..:)
I do it all the time
That's just NASTY!
I would say that as long as you are the only one using that bottle of mouthwash then no problem. If other people use the same bottle they may not like it, but it kills the germs and bacteria, so I would think that it was ok. You could try pouring some into the cap and using it that way.
HI
its the way you gargle. you keep a separate bottle for your self
thats hygienic.
As long as it is your bottle of mouthwash and you don't back wash in it, I am sure it is not big deal.
pls dont do that.better get it in a cup n then use it.
