Can I pop this abscess myself?

Question:
I have had an abscessed tooth that is so swollen and rock hard I don't know what to do. I have been taking an antibiotic now for 4 days and it is swollen inside my mouth and in my cheek. It is dark red inside my mouth and I cannot get into the dentist for a week and I don't have the money to treat it otherwise. Has anyone ever drained their own abscess and if so how can I do it? PLease help, I am in a ton of pain and my pain medicine is not working anymore.

Answers:
There is honestly no way to drain your own abscess. 1st of all, if it is full of bacteria ridden pus, that bacteria once let loose improperly is gonna be down your throat and close to your trachea which is a straight line to your lungs and lining of your heart. 2nd if you manage to hit a blood vessel and can't get it to stop bleeding, your gonna' end up in the ER. If you have a community clinic/dentist, try them, they usually can help you with making payments or try your local urgent care clinic. They won't be able to treat you, but they can give you something for pain until your next visit to the dentist.
You should go an emergency room immediately and ask for medical help.
