If it's in your cheek, I'd suggest it may be a blocked salivary duct. That would be the "easy" answer, though. There are many things that can occur in the soft tissue and you need proper diagnosis. The worst case is that it's some kind of tumor. You do not want to risk choosing a "Best Answer" on Yahoo! and ignoring proper treatment.
Sounds like an abcessed tooth which requires antibiotics. See your dentist.
