Does Plax dental rinse really work? If so are there any third party studies to confirm this?

Question:

Answers:
A few years ago, Consumer Reports did a study and concluded that vigorous pre-brush rinsing with plain water for 30 seconds was just as effective as using Plax. Needless to say, Plax disputed this.
The most effective mouth rinses to use are the ones that are antiseptic, like Listerine. If there's nothing in it to kill the bacteria in your mouth, it's just masking the bad breath until it wears off.
