I have a wire that runs along the bottom of my mouth?

Question:

I'm getting my braces off tomorrow, and getting my expander taken out, but I also have a wire at the bottom of the inside of my mouth. Are they going to take this out, or is it permanent?

Hey Congrats on getting your braces off....I had mine for 9 years....its a great feeling (your teeth will look MUCH bigger for a while and they will feel really weird....I remember thinking that they were made out of mayo....sounds weird but you will understand when they are off.)
I am 26 and still have the wire on the bottom. I think its worth it because those teeth are the first ones to shift. My husband doesnt have one and his have shifted just a little already. Its something you just get used to.....
...eat something chewy and lots of bread for your first non-braces meal :)
