I'm always hungry!!?

Question:
It's because I think a lot at my job, it's not a physical job. I am 26, female, 130 lbs, 5' 10", with a high metabolism. I probably don't eat as well as I should. What I need is to eat some good food that keeps me full for a long time. I try by eating cereal, such as special K, vector, oatmeal crisp, etc. But I'm hungry shortly after. I've tried various other carbohydrates, pastas, rice, potatoes, etc. I get hungry all the time!! I am NOT pregnant, this is basically normal for me, but I'm sure a couple of the prescriptions I take for my bipolar contribute to this factor! Anyone have some ideas for me??

Answers:
you burn off the carbs. you need more protien, fruits and vegies. i like celery and peanut butter in the mornings.
Sounds like you may have a blood sugar imbalance. Check out the symptoms link at www.hufa.org and see if you have any other symptoms of low blood sugar. Bipolar can be part of it.

My diet has basically eliminated carbohydrate cravings - except at that certain time of month. Potato chips and chocolate beware.
Well.....I had the same problem. I would just get hungry and I had just ate so what I think you should do is schedule times that is best for you to eat like eat in the morning a big breakfast. My usual breakfast is 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and some sausage or bacon. That should hold you for a few hours. Then for lunch, eat some fruit and have a juice. I dont know about you but soda makes me hungry and for dinner, eat some meat like chicken or turkey, some bread-like food (I love macaroni!!!) and a salad.....my suggestion is dont drink anything to you finish eating.....if you drink before or while you eat, you'll get full of liquid and it'll flush out ya body and you'll be hungry again. That my suggestion. BUT>>>>>>>>> if you feel the urge of a empty stomache, eat candy like gummies or fruit snacks......that works for me........:D
