braces hurt when they put spacers in (which are the little rubber thing to space your back teeth so they can put a metal band around your teeth in the back) they also hurt when they tighten (change the wires) and when you get rubber bands. um it depends how bad your teeth are and if your jaw is right for the cost of the braces and the amount it is.

Braces are painful at first! They take about 1 to 2 hours to put on. They are about 3 to 4 thousand dollars. Hopes this helps!
I live in the UK and because I'm at uni and not working i got them for free, yay!
I didnt want them at first but now that i have them i dont really mind them, theyre just a bit annoying when you're eating and stuff gets stuck in them but thats not a prob.
They hadnt really hurt me much, yeah the are a bit uncomfortable for the first few days when you get them in and then when they get tightened but not unbearable. Although saying that, i just went to the orhtodontist yesterday and got them tightened and the whole right side of my mouth is agony!! But that will be gone by tomorrow....i hope!
Anyway, i think its all worth it coz i only get them tightened about every 6 weeks so its not that bad. Also, my orthodontist said i only need 2 wear them for another 6 months or less which is a year sooner than i expected so thats good news for me!
