Question:

Answers:
Novocaine is rarely used in modern Dental practice . Xylocaine is most commonly used as an anesthetic . In addition a small amount of epinephrine is added to slow down the absorbtion of the anesthetic into the blood supply and also to help control bleeding in certain cases . This latter ingredient possibly could turn up as an adrenalin derivative in blood tests.

Other Answers:
possible if the dose was extremely high, since cocaine is also a 'caine' anesthetic.but they do not look for the 'caine' suffix..it is the coca prefix that is looked for in a drug screen
