Getting a tooth pulled by an oral surg.?

Question:
I'm scared,

its my left top molar.

Anyone else have it done?

Is it really really painful?

Answers:
I had all four wisdom teeth pulled at once with an oral surgeon.
It wasn't scary at all.
Once I was out, I was out and didn't feel a thing! No needles, no pressure of him pulling it out, nothing.
I think it actually helped in the long run. I was more relaxed so he could get in and get it done and over with without me fighting and protesting it. (I'm scared to death of dentists). And because I was out like a light, he didn't have any trouble getting them out.
I was a little sore, not really in pain, but sore. Especially when I tried to eat, which he told me to be careful when I did it.
Basic instructions afterward was; No using straws/smoking as the sucking on it can cause the socket to bleed. Nothing hot or cold until the Novocaine wore off. (I had to stick my finger in everything to test the temp of it). Rinse mouth after eating, snacks or meal.
He gave me pain meds, but I took an Advil and was fine, didn't even fill the script he gave me.
So, relax, and go in with a good attitude, or the best one you can muster and Good Luck. You shouldn't have any problems.
i have, if you have a good doc then only the procedure will hurt and it will be sore for a cupple of days but with some painmeds it is ok.

don't be affraid of it, if it has to come out then it has to:)
It won't hurt while you are having surgery but it may for a day or two after, it'll be better out and dentists chairs are always scary places
but try and relax
