How long until I can comfortably eat after getting a filling?

Question:
I got a filling about 5 hours ago and the freezing is out but my mouth still feels funny. Tried eating a spoonful of macaroni salad but it feels gritty - like there is a raspberry seed stuck in my teeth.

Answers:
fillings shouldn't really bother you at all umm it might feel wierd the first day you eat with it. but it really should be fine the gritty stuff is the stuff they filled the hole with that goes away with tume like a day or 2

Other Answers:
I usually swish a few times with warm water before I try to eat anything. That helps make sure that my mouth is fully "awake" and that I've gotten rid of all the residual filling from where they've shaped it - metal flakes are probably what made your macaroni salad taste gritty.

wait at least untill the next day .
with the medicins in your mouth food will not taste good anyway u should eat first so that u r really full b4 the filling
then wait bout 5 or more hours so u don't feel hungry
but if u can't wait that long drink a smoothie give it a half an hour after the novicane wheres off, and go for something light.
gargle with salt water when you get home, and do it again about a half hour before you eat helps.
chew softly at first, because your bite might have changed a bit, and your tongue and cheek have to get used to it,
I hope the tooth fairy stops in anyhow
