what is Arizona law about cancelling a checks.?

Question:
this was a check to a business, but I decided I don't want there services two days after I gave them the check. they say they have already ordered some parts/work.

Answers:
If you did not receive the parts, then is nothing much they can do unless you have signed some contract.
In case of Stop Payment on a check they can turned over to local State Attorney office of Worthless Checks division who will then invite you and the other party for a hearing with a mediator who will collect both sides of the stories and forward statements to the Assistant State Attorney who will then decide if is civil or criminal matter, if decided to be criminal you will be ordered to pay plus reasonable state fee and court cost, and maybe service charge to the merchant and bank fee for canceled check.
If is decided to be civil than you will need to get a lawyer.
Or you might look in to Arizona State Statute book and look for Worthless Checks Statutes.
