What food or drink stains your teeth the most?
Question:
Answers:
Coffee, tea, cigarettes. I don't think food really matters. The dentist never ask you what food you have eaten. If you smoke the hygienist has to do a deep cleaning. MY scientific evidence, Coffee & tea stains the bottom of a coffe cup so I guess it also stains your teeth.
Other Answers:
I would have to say coffee.its horrible for your teeth.
COKE AND SODAS AND COFFEE Black coffee and red wine I'd imagine.
Coffee
Tea
My biggest problem here is with coffee. A dental hygienist once asked me, "What bad habit do you have that stains your teeth?" Coffee and tea are the worst offenders. Smoking is a tooth stainer as well.
I would say coffee as well. icky stuff! The longer you drink the stuff, the more your teeth get yellowy. O_O
Blueberries.
Haven't you seen the denture commercials?
:-)
Peace!
sunny d Expresso and red wine. Also smoke.. of any kind.
Anything that would stain other surfaces, like the carpet are going to stain your teeth more. The worst offenders are tobacco (this actually stains the outside and the inside of the teeth), coffee and tea. But red wine, tomato based food-spaghetti sauce, and colas. Actually Mt Dew can also stain your teeth a nice greenish, yellowish hue!
Everyone will be different in what stains their teeth, and how much. It depends on your tooth structure. Some people can drink coffee all day long and never see any stain, while another person will get stain if they dare drink one cup a day!
Brushing your teeth well (a Sonicare toothbrush removes stains really well) and focusing on any areas you notice that develop the stain easier will help! Also be sure to visit your dental hygienist regularly so he or she can help too!
Scientific evidence? I am sure there is, but what I rely on most is personal, clinical experience! You see enough tobacco, coffee, and tea stain and you know it is the worst!
