fluoride therapy in pedodontics?
Question:
Answers:
dont really understand ur qnz. but if u r asking abt topical fluoride application, its safe whn applied by the dental professional. fluoride forms fluorapatite crystals in the enamel n this makes the teeth more resistant to tooth decay. whether the child requires fluoride application is decided by the pedodontist n he or she would knw the safety level n so on. so no need to worry abt fluoride poisoning.
Other Answers:
flouride is always good for the system.
Not quite sure what you want to know about fluoride therapy? Or do you want opinions about whether it is good or bad.
If you take your child to see their dentist and they usually use Gel Kam or some other product it's only for 1 minute and only every 6 months. It tastes good so the trick is for them NOT to swallow. The foam flouride in the trays taste bad and it's really messy. Pedodontists I worked for didn't usually use that. Ultimately it was up to the parents.
