what is a drug regimen?

Question:
What is a drug regimen in an assisted living facility?

Answers:
Well, I am not sure what you are asking specifically. A drug regimen in general is the medications a person takes on a regular basis and the schedule they are taken on. For an assisted living facility it is whatever the person is on for medications and the facilities guideleines and protocols for administering medications. Some assisted living places just have a nurse come in a set up the medication for the patient to take when the time is right/scheduled and leave them to it. Soem facilities facilitate taking the medications by dispenmsing them only at the appropriate time and dosage and assisting the patient in taking these medications.

Other Answers:
Regimen: With the accent on the first syllable (reg as in Reggie Jackson), a regimen is a plan, a regulated course such as a diet, exercise or treatment, designed to give a good result. A low-salt diet is a regimen.
