I'm 18, and my teeth move a lot?

Question:
I have had my braces off for 3 years now. I wore my retainer like I was told to. Did everything that I was supposed to. Now 3 years later, my top front teeth move. ALOT! I still wear my retainer. I have to. I will wear it non stop for days, except for eating and brushing my teeth. When I take it off to eat or to brush my teeth, my top two teeth move so much that I could stick a quarter through the gap. (Not that I have tried. It's just an example). Is this just me? When will my teeth stop moving? I have tried to make an appointment with my dentist, but they are booked up for a month. This worries me that my teeth move so much.

Answers:
Yes you should be worried, your teeth should NOT move. You need to call your dentist and get an emergency appt. I have a feeling you are going to lose those teeth.
get an emergency appointment with your dentist. If you have to, explain the situation. they will probably worried for you. my daughter has had her braces off for about a year now and her teeth are fine. she stopped wearing her retainer in august because thats what her dentist said. hope you get things sorted.
Good luck.
