I'm 18, and my teeth move a lot?

Question: I have had my braces off for 3 years now. I wore my retainer like I was told to. Did everything that I was supposed to. Now 3 years later, my top front teeth move. ALOT! I still wear my retainer. I have to. I will wear it non stop for days, except for eating and brushing my teeth. When I take it off to eat or to brush my teeth, my top two teeth move so much that I could stick a quarter through the gap. (Not that I have tried. It's just an example). Is this just me? When will my teeth stop moving? I have tried to make an appointment with my dentist, but they are booked up for a month. This worries me that my teeth move so much.

Yes you should be worried, your teeth should NOT move. You need to call your dentist and get an emergency appt. I have a feeling you are going to lose those teeth.

If you have to, explain the situation. they will probably worried for you. my daughter has had her braces off for about a year now and her teeth are fine. she stopped wearing her retainer in august because thats what her dentist said. hope you get things sorted.
