Question:
Answers:
Sometimes when you have TMJ you can use a nightguard in your nouth while you sleep. There are dentists who specialize in TMJ. For the time being you can take ibuprophen every 6 hours to decrease inflamation.
Other Answers:
See your dentist to be sure that it's not caused by the way your teeth are or the way you're biting. Don't sit in one position for long periods of time because the neck can stiffen up. Try exercising your neck too.
surgery is the only remedy i know for tmj. for the time being prevent yourself from having to chew for a long period of time such as chewing gum, laffy taffy, or bagels.
Good Luck!!
i have a 24 hour splint for my TMJ, which has helped a lot. My chrio has also helped. I would say got to a TMJ Dentist and/or the chrio. They can do X-ray to see it your jaw is pushing on any nerves
