Not long. I have one in right now! Try using the wax the orthodontist gives you, and have cold drinks and foods to numb the pain. Good luck!
Yes and it's just a matter of one or two days before you are de-sensitived to the change in pressure. I had braces for several years and it took only a day or two to adjust to the changes.
Yes. In two or three days it will be much better. Take some advil or tylenol - that will help the pain.
if you take some ibuprofen it should go away within the day and you'll get used to it in about 2 or 3 days
i have, dont worry the pain will go away soon!! just hold on!!! just put some orajell or something like that!! hope you feel better!!!
Yes, they are used exactly for what you said, to make space. They are only painful for a few days and it works pretty quick. Some motrin for the pain can help make it through the day.
Working for that perfect smile and bite are worth it.
anything done to braces hurts... when i had em usually my mouth felt fine the next day. eat some pooding. its supposed to help the pain
Hi, yes, I ever had that experience before.
For me, it hurt for about 3 days. But I guess it is different for different people.
Think of how beautiful your teeth will be when it is all done...how pretty it will be when you flash your brilliant smile and how much more confidence you will get when your teeth are all straight....
Grin and bear with it! You will make it!
I had one. Usually it just stays in a couple months. The pain will stop in about 5 days. Just take aspirin and relax.
After a couple of days the tenderness should be gone. They will have to replace the spring as many times as it takes to make the space for the tooth. Could be a couple of months could be more. Try taking over the counter pain relievers to help with pain, that should take the edge off. Hang in there it will be all worth it in the end.
