I had to come up[ with 750 dollars for a down payment on my son's braces and then I paid 150 dollars a month for 2 years. and then I had to pay more on the contract because of some baloney. all in all it cost me 5ooo dollars to fix his teeth. and he said it didn't really hurt it was uncomfortable.I took him once a month to have new adjustments made and for a couple of days after that his teeth would really be sore, and he ate soft foods on those 2 days. it was worth it though his teeth are perfection to look at and his smile is dynamite.
Braces can be a very expensive excerise costing nearly $4000 (Australian) in Australia. However private health insurance will generally pay back some of this money. This amount depends on how long you have your braces on as well. Other countries this amount may vary so check with your local orthodontist.
Braces generally hurt at the time when they are put on the teath and just after they are tightened. However this pain generally lasts around 3-4 hours. This pain can be minimised by taking pain killers.
Of course, I haven't had braces for about 6 years now, but I believe my parents paid between1500-2000 dollars. Getting them on didn't hurt, but having them tightened was a bit painful. Ok, very painful. I couldn't eat solids a few days after each time they were tightened. My teeth were really crooked, however. I suppose it varies from person to person. Really, the end result was well worth the pain.
well the cost depends upon the treatment...hurt not much,,ayb initially when the dentist is fixin the thing u my exprince some pain,,,but with time u ill become usd to of it....don wory...initially u ill ahv problem speakin,,and speakin to people,,,and if u r really concious u can go for tooth colourd braces...which won be seen also...
Yes, it does hurt for a while and the average cost of braces costs anywhere from $2,000 - $6,000 depending on how long you wear them how you take care of them and how bad your teeth are. We had to make a $900 downpayment and are now paying $95 a month. But then again mine are cheap compared to most of htem they will be like $2,500 in the long run.
