Is it possible to have root canal without pain?

Question:
Ask anyone about root canal treatment and you quickly hear about tales of how painful it was. I completed my treatment on Friday and felt virtually little or no pain. Remember, treatments for root canal are improving constantly due to technology, people have different pain thresholds and it really depends on the nature of the treatment.

Is it possible to have root canal treatment without pain? Yes, mine was and so can yours.

Answers:
Yes most root canals involve no pain. Just like getting a filling, except deeper. I've had several and waiting to get one done next week. My tooth hurts like hell right now - but I will feel much better when I walk in that dentist office. After they give you the shot to numb your gum, you shouldn't feel a thing. And with the new technology, it should only take 1 trip and about 1 hour. The first one I ever had done was done about 18 yrs ago and that was before they could do it in one trip. Had to go back once a week forever it seemed like. But after the first trip, they never numbed it again because the root is dead and they even drilled and there was no pain !
To sum it up for me, I think if you're in alot of pain before the root canal, then it is actually a relief. At least it is for me.
or maybe you had really good anaesthetic!!
