dentist jargon-could you please explain what the dentists mean when they shout out numbers to their assistant?
Question:
Answers:
Each of the numbers they're calling out are the codes for each of your teeth.
The dentist looks at each of your teeth in turn and checks it for decay, infection, loose fillings etc.
Hopefully most of the time they'll say nothing after the code but if there's a problem they might say something like missing or mention a decay spot. The dentist's assistant will be writing all this down on a chart and that goes in your dental records.
Why don't you ask your DENTIST, moron?
