Does Zoom whitening really work?
Question:
Answers:
In 2 recent studies it was found that:
1. "One-visit in sugery bleaching is to be viewed with scepticism. Even after 2-3 in-surgery visits, half of the patients requested additional home-bleaching to improve the result."
2. "It was possible that dehydration of the teeth could be a contributer to the immediate whitening effect of one-visit procedues, and that these patients had a far higher shade rebound compared to those who had 2-3 visits."
So, unless you want some immediate effect for a special occasion, you will get the same result at a lesser cost by simply using home-bleaching. And it will last longer than in-surgery bleaching alone. Your dentist is correct.
Yes you will it will just take a month or two. The office procedure is what you would get in a months time if I m not mistaken.
