No stitch put in after wisdom tooth extraction?

I just wondered too I did not get a stitch put in, is this why I should be so worried about a dry socket?
Answers:
If it was a "simple" extraction there is no need for a suture, things should heal up nicely. No worries.. If you are having no severe pain you are fine. If you had a dry socket believe me you would know! they are very painful!! just because you had a tooth pulled doesn't mean you will get a dry socket. If you followed the post op instructions like no drinking through a straw for at least 48 hrs., no vigorous swishing or spitting you will be fine.

i just had one out and there was no stitch either. just keep a moist piece of gauze in there for a while and you will be fine. Are you sure you didn't get dissolvable ones?
